We are looking for an IT Project Manager to our financial client in San Diego. The role is primarily responsible, under intermittent direction, for planning, overseeing, and closing multiple, complex Agile and Waterfall projects within the established scope, schedule, and budget. Responsibilities include the analysis, preparation, and maintenance of a variety of project documents, plans, and correspondence; as well as, the set up and coordination of project meetings and sessions with a variety of individuals. In addition, this role will be responsible for detailing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver software development projects according to plan. This IT Project Manager will also oversee project quality control throughout its life cycle. This individual should be meticulous when it comes to delivering complex, software development projects.

  • 3+ years' of IT Project Management experience with implementation in complex environments
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise level application development projects  
  • Daptiv, Tableau, and Azure DevOps (formerly Team Foundation Server/TFS)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, business, logistics or related field
  • Knowledge of all phases of the project management and of the software development life cycles
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Proficient understanding of technical equipment and software packages
  • Excellent communication skills to build consensus, facilitate working sessions, and negotiate solutions and alternatives
  • Well-prepared written documentation and reports
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to learn/adapt to new technologies and techniques
  • Prioritize, lead, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
