QA Technician
RESPONSIBILITES/DUTIES
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • GMP monitoring and implementation
  • Conduct chemistry testing for process water and finished products
  • Ability to learn job duties in timely manner and demonstrate competency
  • Assist with department coverage as needed, including QA Technician and CIP/Sanitation support
  • Perform CIPs and sanitation according to Minimum Sanitation Requirements
  • Maintain compliance with BTB Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense programs
  • Management of the GACs, Mineral Batching skid, CIP skid and other water process equipment (filter changes, cleaning in Place, daily readings, maintenance. etc.).
  • Champion of QMS on shift, ensure compliance with all BlueTriton Quality Programs.
  • Execution of required department checks and ownership over lab, lab equipment, water processing, and chemical room
  • Lead and drive all BlueTriton food safety initiatives to ensure the production of safe and high quality products.
  • Provide all necessary support for internal /external audits and provide sustainable corrective/ preventive actions for gaps.
  • Commitment to Safety process, knowledge, and participation
  • Ability to trend analytical data and perform root cause analysis
  • Support production on the shift by, but not limited to: Major maintenance, Glass Break, training of operators, give accesses, quality incident trouble shooting
  • Work with other departments in leading/teaching/educating factory employees in quality control systems.
  • Review daily quality checks for all lines to make release decisions, including coaching line operators for missing documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry a plus or relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and processes
  • Possess strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all plant personnel and vendors
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills, initiative, and ability to adapt to changes
  • Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organization

  • Must be flexible with work hours to accommodate department demands
